T24: How To Build Your First Nofile Enquiry In T24

This post will provide you with enough tools to build your first Nofile Enquiry.

Introduction:

• Often ‘Enquiries’ need to read, take and sort data from  more than one file.
• Only one Filename can be given in the ‘Enquiry’ application. 
• Such requirements can be met by attaching ‘subroutines’ that pass the required sorted information to the ‘Enquiry’ (NOFILE Enquiry does this)
• No file Enquiry that will allow us to pick up data from multiple files.
• This can be achieved by writing a Subroutine that will pick up the necessary data and pass it on to the Enquiry subsystem for processing.
• The document attached below will give you detailed understanding and insight to the workings of an Enquiry.
• I have also attached a sample program you can use to develop your first Nofile Enquiry.
