Sarkodie, Shatta Wale to thrill fans in Kumasi .
They
are arguably two of Ghana’s biggest music artistes at the moment and
dancehall singer Shatta Wale and rapper Sarkodie will be at their best
game as they treat their numerous fans in Kumasi to some of their hit
songs.
Dubbed the Switch Back Concert, the big bash is being organised by
telecom company, Tigo, as part of activities to climax the 15th
anniversary celebration of the king of the Asante kingdom, Otumfuo Osei
Tutu II.
Regarded as the most popular Ghanaian musician with his songs like Dancehall King, Enter The Net, Like My Thing, Shatta City, Shatta Wale has become a household name in many parts of the country.
He won the Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held in Accra last Saturday night, hence music lovers in Kumasi will be the first to enjoy the performance of Ghana’s newest Artiste of the Year.
The Tema-based rapper and BET award winner, Sarkodie, is also expected to be in his elements as he delivers his popular songs like You Go Kill Me, Pizza and Burger, and Illuminati.
“This concert is our way of commending the people of Asanteman for their support to the brand over the years and to congratulate the Asantehene on his service to his people and to all Ghanaians since ascending to the throne,” a Tigo official said.
