Nollywood actress blames colleagues for Muna Obiekwe’s death
Nollywood actress Ify Okeke is
blaming colleagues in the industry for neglecting their colleague, Muna
Obiekwe, leading to his death.
Reacting to the untimely death of
the actor, Ify Okeke vented her anger at her colleagues for neglecting him when
he was sick.
According to her although the actor
wanted to keep his issues private, the other actors should have come to his
aid.
Muna, according to reports, was
planning to produce a stage play to raise funds for his treatment instead of
going public to solicit for funds for that.
Ify posted on her Instagram page
Sunday that: “I truly hate to be a harbinger of bad news but I want to confirm
that MUNA OBIEKWE IS DEAD! And am so angry! Yes not just because we lost
another great talent but because in this industry we are not our [brother’s
keeper]. Yes, Muna might have wanted or lived a private life but people knew he
was sick, people knew his health condition and yet what did they do, some tried
but if they had cried out to the world MUNA might have gotten help. We are just
colleagues NO REAL FRIENDS! Rest In Peace MUNA”.
