Shatta Wale 'will not apologise to Charterhouse' - Bulldog
Controversial
musician and self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah Mensah
Jnr. aka Shatta Wale has descended heavily on Charterhouse, organisers
of the Ghana Music Awards and owners of GhOne TV.
In a series of videos released online, Shatta Wale accused the outfit of being corrupt and foolish.
In his usual no holds barred approach, Shatta Wale addressed the owners of the outfit and warned them to stop denying musicians from other regions of Ghana the needed recognition.
“I dey send this to Iyiola Ayoade…You no dey respect huh? You come Ghana, you wan come do entertain rules, you get sense? Or you fit say the music awards nobody no say you dey do kululu wey you no dey nominate Kumasi artistes, you no dey nominate Northern Region artistes, you no dey nominate Bolgatanga artistes, you no dey nominate Takoradi artistes, no even Volta Region, not even our common Koforidua here. You dey come set rules, show the type of music dem for play for your foolish station GhOne.”
Shatta Wale’s latest attacks, according to him, is because GhOne TV has decided not to air his music.
“If some DJ dey play my video for your TV station you say make he stop, make dem no talk anythong about Shatta Wale. You dey talk Deborah Vanessa or Vanessa Deborah or something…say make them no mention my name for your TV station and things. You are in for trouble.”
He took a dig at some Ghanaian artistes who allow themselves to be ‘used’ by Charterhouse, even when the outfit doesn’t pay them what they deserve.
“Ghana artistes self wey they fool wey they follow follow you. Wey you dey give them two thousand, three thousand Ghana cedis…give me seventy thousand you no dey fit give me, thirty thousand be my class.”
The angry Shatta Wale further took a swipe at the Ghanaian employees of Charterhouse, for what he says is their support of their corruption.
This is not the first time Shatta Wale has publicly insulted Charterhouse. He descended heavily on them after the 2013 edition of the Ghana Music Awards, where he lost out on the Dancehall Artiste of the Year award to Kaakie. He released a series of songs to insult the outfit.
Manager of Shatta Wale, Lawrence Asiamah Hanson, has revealed that Shatta Wale will not apologize for his latest insulting rants and is ready to defend his artiste in court if Charterhouse chooses to pursue legal action against him.
But PRO of Charterhouse, George Quaye, says his outfit has no intention of taking Shatta Wale to court for his utterances because it is not the first time the ‘Dancehall King’ hitmaker is accusing them with no facts. - See more at: http://viasat1.com.gh/vone/news/entertainment.php?postId=2536#sthash.NVkKxqHU.dpuf
