Jose Mourinho does a mad dash after Demba Ba sends Chelsea to Champions League semifinals

If their Twitter account
was any indication, PSG were feeling confident after taking a 3-1
advantage in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal
against Chelsea. But the fact that Chelsea managed an away goal in Paris gave them a bit of hope. After all, as PSG's Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi surely remember, Chelsea came back from 3-1 down in their 2012 round of 16 tie against Napoli to win 5-4 on aggregate.
After coming on for the injured Eden Hazard in just the 18th minute, Andre Schurrle
gave Chelsea the boost they needed by opening the scoring in the 32nd
minute. Frustration followed when they rocked the crossbar several
times, but PSG also failed to make the most of their chances to leave
Chelsea just one goal away from advancing.
As a last resort, Jose Mourinho put on Fernando Torres and Demba Ba
as desperation started to set in. And finally, in the 87th minute, Ba
lifted an awkward shot over PSG keeper Salvatore Sirigu to put Chelsea
up 2-0 in the second leg and make it 3-3 on aggregate with Chelsea's
away goal giving them the advantage.

Since he wasn't wearing a fancy suit he could ruin, Mourinho opted against his signature knee slide
and instead ran all the way down to the corner to where Ba and the
other players were celebrating. But after the match, Mourinho said he didn't do it to celebrate himself, he did it to "tell Fernando and Demba the changes we had to do."
Whatever he was in such a rush
to say to them, it worked because the score held and Chelsea now advance
to the semifinals along with Mourinho's former club Real Madrid.
